• Be sure your personal profile has link to your business page and also has all your contact info as well. All sites, cell, email, other social media links, etc... As a business owner, you want to be contacted and found easily.

Do not spend too much time "LOOKING" and "VIEWING" everything, you can easily lose hours of precious time. But, do realize that you can build relationships on social media.

Hashtags are means to help people find things, they are basically search terms for social media. I am 100% guilty of just making up my own too #becausewecan #andtheyarefun. Just be sure to use "real ones" when you want to highlight your business #teamMK #mymklife are the big ones.

Be aware of scam/spam. Be careful who you friend. Be careful what personal info you do post. You don't want to announce to the world you are away from home and looking for a dog sitter for next week. Be safe. Conversations that say "Hello, how are you?" are usually a hacked account, unfriend, report, and do not answer.

Think before you post. Is this meaningful? Can this help someone? What is the purpose of the post? Sometimes, it's just something fun, a pic of your life, or a beautiful day...post away! However, negative posts are not ones that will move you forward in business or help you grow as a person. Gossip has no place in your mind - let alone on your social media. No idea how I went there, but maybe someone needed to hear it today.
